Pre-Grade Math: Curriculum Overview
-
The focus of kindergarten mathematics is to prepare the students for higher level math by giving them a basic understanding of the meanings, uses, and symbols related to numbers and mathematics.
-
Repetition to create a concrete understanding of these concepts is a key foundation for the rest of a child's knowledge of mathematics. Little House Kindergarten uses intentional building of skills at a consistent pace to encourage subject area mastery, and ensure that the child will be able to confidently move on to further math skills in their following years of schooling.
-
-
The creators of Little House Curriculum believe in presenting information and practicing skills in diversified ways.
-
In accordance with the theory of learning styles, Little House Kindergarten creates a learning environment where the child is able to grasp concepts in a way that best fits their experience and learning preferences.
